Whitsundays (Airlie Beach)

Wow! It doesn’t get much better than this! The Whitsundays is situated in central north tropical Queensland, next to the Great Barrier Reef and close to 74 beautiful islands. The main town in the Whitsundays is Airlie Beach, which is known for its friendly relaxed atmosphere and lively nightlife. Yes, it’s a party town.

The World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The reef is home to tens of thousands of species of brilliantly coloured fish, coral and other marine life. It is a spectacular underwater playground, and the Whitsundays lies in the very heart of the reef. Our students can scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef. Many students also choose to complete the Open Water Scuba Diving license while studying at Whitsunday SACE school in Airlie Beach

The Whitsundays are also synonymous with sailing. Students can join a sail boat charter for 1, 2 or 3 nights of sailing or do a day trip and come back to land at night. Whitehaven Beach is consistently rated amongst the top beaches in the world and is the jewel in the crown of the Whitsundays. Students can travel to Whitehaven Beach on a day cruise.

Something to think about

SACE schools offer students the possibility to study in two or three different destinations. You can combine the cosmopolitan city of Melbourne with the wild forests of Tasmania, the festivals of Adelaide and sailing and the Great Barrier Reef in the tropical Whitsundays (Airlie Beach). It’s all possible. Call The Language House and we will explain how it works.

The Language House likes

The Whitsundays College of English and the Whitsundays’ Sailing School, offers students the opportunity to improve their English language skills and also get their internationally accredited sailing qualification ‐ Introduction to Sailing or Commercial Crew Certificate.
